Shaun Toby is among 4423 injured workers who will no longer qualify for workers compensation at the end of the year under NSW government changes to the scheme, which is now $1.5 billion in surplus.
Just under two weeks ago, Mr Toby, who lives in the Blue Mountains, received a letter from his insurer Allianz saying he would lose his weekly payments.
